Backup

Both isginf and ITS offer solutions for backup of servers, desktops and laptops.

Servers

ITS operates a tape backup service for servers based on IBM Storage Protect (formerly Tivoli). isginf uses this service for all managed servers. ITCs can request tape backup for servers managed by their group through isginf.

Desktops and Laptops

For macOS computers we provide a service for Time Machine backup that is available to all D-INFK members.

For Linux and Windows computers we provide Borg or Duplicati that is available to all D-INFK members.
