On laptops we only support Windows and macOS. Ubuntu can be installed on a best-effort basis and only with local user accounts.Upgrades
Upgrades to newer releases of an operating system are coordinated with the ITCs of research groups that have that particular operating system deployed.
Operating system upgrades are typically done through re-installation. All local data on the system drive will be lost unless it is copied away.
